Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz received massive praise for his sensational spell against New Zealand in the second ODI at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi on Wednesday.

After losing Finn Allen in the first over, skipper Kane Williamson and Devon Conway put on a sensational 181-run partnership for the second wicket.

However, Naseem Shah started the Kiwis' collapse as he bowled Conway after he scored 101 runs.

Following this, left-arm spinner Nawaz reignited his best form to turn the game on its head as he claimed four quick wickets, helping Pakistan get back in the game.

Middle-order batter Daryl Mitchell was Nawaz's first prey. In the same over, he sent Tom Latham back to the pavilion after a successful review.

After that, the spinner cleaned up Williamson with a great turning delivery, while aggressive batter Glenn Phillips was the fourth to be sent back by him.

Nawaz ended with figures of 4-38 at an economy rate of 3.80.
